Right before the holidays I had the pleasure of getting to meet one of my favorite people’s whole family for a winter extended family photo shoot! We have known Kayla for years through Marker 20 and she is always ready with a smile, a word of truth, a quick joke, and maybe a bit of sass thrown in – you can see why she and Saithe get along so well!
We met early one CHILLY Saturday morning at Sandy Bottom Nature Park and decided to explore an area of the park I’ve never been to. It was the perfect spot for their extended family session! We started off the session with the biggest surprise ever – a proposal!! I think Tony was much more relaxed once he popped the question and the pressure was off. We then spent the next hour laughing, joking and chasing toddlers.
There are some families you can tell always have an open front door and an extra seat at the table. Kayla’s family is that family. It’s easy to see the love they welcome others in with, whether they’ve known them an hour or ten years. That kind of fierce love is so refreshing and is not easily breakable. Thank you all for sharing your family with me! Enjoy your photos!
The absolute BEST way to start a session. Hands down. I might even make it a new requirement 😆
Autumn was not nearly as impressed by Mom’s new ring as the rest of us were!
Unlike Autumn with the ring, Ivy was all about my camera! Taylor, you may have a photographer in the making!!
There is something so special about the bond between an uncle and his nieces ❤️ You guys will definitely have to recreate this photo as the girls get older!
Kayla, I absolutely love this photo of Autumn. It’s one of those “of course that’s Kayla’s daughter” 😂
Speaking of recreating photos, I was informed this photo is a recreation of another! How fun to go back years later and do the same poses 🙂
