It’s hard to believe this little one will be ONE in less than a week, and I never posted her newborn session!! I absolutely love photographing newborn sessions. Even though the Newborn Phase often means sleepless nights, total fog, and feelings of overwhelm, having the opportunity to come into someone’s home and photograph this time is just magical for me. Especially when that someone is a close friend. I love that newborn photos stand the test of time.

When Katie reached out about doing both a maternity session and a newborn session, I was over the moon! You know the friends who are so sweet and genuinely kind it doesn’t even seem possible, but it is? That’s Katie. On top of that she is so put together in such a timeless, classic way. AND she and Josh make some beautiful babies. I was PUMPED.

I showed up to their house on a beautiful Saturday morning just a few days after Sophia made her grand entrance into the world. Big sister, Grace, ran to greet me at the door, excited to have a visitor and to show off her new baby sister! We spent the morning capturing sweet snuggles, allowing Grace to come and go as she pleased. Overall we were all enjoying the calmness of the four of them just being together as a family.

Katie and Josh, thank you for sharing your beautiful family with me – repeatedly! I am sorry it took me A YEAR to post these, but I am still so happy for you both and I have loved watching the girls grow together over the last year!

During newborn sessions sometimes Baby needs a snack or a diaper change. While Sophia ate, Josh, Grace and I went outside for some fun!
