I truly believe God made us for community in every aspect of life. I’ve noticed that it’s often hard to find true community in professional spheres, especially as a solo entrepreneur. But I’ve also noticed how much sweeter it is when you do find a true friend in your industry. Over the years I’ve had a few photographer friends, but when my business took a break we all lost touch. Recently, God has seen fit to gift me with a new photographer friend, and I am so thankful for her friendship!
Last fall, Adrienne and I did a “session swap,” where one day she took photos of my family and then the next day I took photos of her family! It was so much fun we have already started planning future outings and swaps.
We met one brisk Saturday morning in November at Yorktown for their family session. I had never explored this part of the town before, but we had so much fun dodging people’s backyards and chasing the light. It is clear how much this family loves the Lord and each other! Adrienne’s four kids had me laughing nonstop with their jokes, silly faces, and egging Mom and Dad on for just one more kiss.
Adrienne and Jon, thank you for braving the cold with me and sharing your sweet family! I hope you guys had as much fun as I did! Enjoy the photos 🙂
You’ll see me say it often, one of my favorite games to play during a session is the Run to Me game! Sometimes at the end of a session the kiddos just need to get some wiggles out, and it always makes for fun photos!
