I love when I have the opportunity to do “out of the box” sessions. For Corah’s 16th birthday she wanted to do something different, and that something different looked like a birthday photoshoot! It’s been a while since I had this beautiful girl in front of my camera so I was excited for this fun birthday photoshoot.

Corah, her mom and I met at Fort Monroe on one of the rare evenings in August that isn’t scorching hot, and we were so thankful! We talked about the summer, her plans for the upcoming school year, art, and anything and everything else we could think of. Fort Monroe is such a wealth of beautiful spaces, we had fun scoping out a few locations off the beaten path.

Corah is such a sweetheart, and incredibly gifted artistically. I love talking art and photography with her because she’s got such a great eye and is so creative.
